Founded in 1952, SCS has been making simulation work for 50 years... and counting.

Established in 1952, The Society for Modeling and Simulation International (SCS) is the only technical society dedicated to advancing the use of computer-based modeling and simulation to solve real world problems across all technical disciplines. SCS Membership represents a worldwide network of professionals, organized by six 'Regional' member councils representing North America, the European Economic Community and Pacific Rim nations as well as six application-focused 'Technical' member councils, committed to guiding the growth and acceptance of modeling and simulation as a decision making tool. SCS Conferences present the opportunity to network, lead technical committees, organize technical sessions or publish a paper in your field of expertise. SCS Publications help to keep our members current with advancements in simulation technology, including the new Quarterly membership publication Modeling & Simulation, and the monthly journal Simulation: Transactions of the Society for Modeling and Simulation International published by SAGE Science Press since 2002.

The Society for Modeling and Simulation International (SCS) is a registered 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, meaning some portion of your membership fees may be tax deductible.

The SCS Board of Directors provides the agenda and makes all decisions about the products and endeavors of The Society, and is elected bi-annually by the SCS Membership. All members are urged to take responsibility for nominating those persons that are interested and capable of leading and guiding SCS in growth, relevance and accomplishments of the modeling and simulation community. Any member who would like to volunteer his/her energies in helping SCS accomplish its mission is urged to contact the SCS office.

With your interest, participation and leadership, SCS will continue to lead the charge of modeling and simulation to the technological forefront of academia, government and industry throughout the world.

SCS Yearly Conferences

At any of the SCS International sponsored conferences you may present a paper or just attend the technical sessions. Whichever you choose to do, you benefit from the professional exchange of information, and the camaraderie created by the social events. The conference locations are picked with the family in mind, so that they can enjoy the surroundings while you participate in the conference.

SCS International also publishes Conference Proceedings, softbound and hardbound books of interest to simulationists. A listing of SCS International publications, provided to members free of charge, can be obtained from the SCS office.
