The 2003 Advanced Simulation Technologies Conference (ASTC 2003) will feature the Eleventh Special Symposium devoted to the impact of High Performance Computing and Communications on Computer Simulations. The goal of the Symposium is to encourage innovation in high performance computing and communication technologies and to stimulate the use of these technologies in key areas of computer simulation. It will promote the exchange of ideas and information between universities, industry, and national laboratories through the development of high performance computing and communication applications which, in turn, can provide solutions to current scientific and technical challenges.

The main tracks of the symposium will include, but will not be limited to the following topics of interest:

Parallel and Distributed Algorithms
Simulation of novel HPC Architectures and Networks
High Performance Visualization and Virtual Environments
Computational Science and Engineering Applications
Computational Biology and Bioinformatics
Computational Physics
Computational Chemistry
Computational Fluid Dynamics
Computational Solid Mechanics
Predictions of Weather, Climate, and Global Changes
Computational Ocean and Earth Sciences
Combustion System Simulation
Biomedical applications
Modeling and Simulation of Transportation Systems
Programming Environments and Tools for Parallel and Distributed Computing
