William R. Killingsworth holds S.M. and Ph.D. degrees from M.I.T. He
founded and was President of Killingsworth Associates, a management
consulting firm based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This firm conducted
consulting assignments across the U.S., as well as in Europe and Africa,
specializing in strategic planning, feasibility studies, budgeting and
capitalization forecasts, and the development of start-up businesses.
For a number of years, Dr. Killingsworth was an independent consultant
working in the areas of: i) developing business plans and marketing
strategies for start-up ventures; ii) securing capital investment for
new firms; and iii) planning for organizational growth and change. In
March of 2001, Dr. Killingsworth accepted a position as Senior Business
Advisor with the Alabama Technology Network at the University of Alabama
in Huntsville. In this capacity, Dr. Killingsworth consults with a
broad array of emerging technology based businesses. On these
consulting assignments, he applies organizational and management change
concepts along with technical planning techniques, market assessment,
and financial models to assist organizations in the successful
achievement of corporate growth and profitability. In late 2001, in
addition to his duties at the Alabama Technology Network, Dr.
Killingsworth was named Director of the Northeast Alabama Regional Small
Business Development Center that is administered by UAH, Alabama A&M
University, and the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce.
