Dr. Amos is the Director of the System Simulation and Development Directorate in
the Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center (RDEC), U.S. Army
Aviation and Missile Command. In this position, he is responsible for development and
execution of analysis, modeling, and simulation support to all Army Missile and Aviation
programs. In particular, Dr. Amos is responsible for development and operation of Hardware
in the Loop, Man in the Loop, and Force on Force modeling and analysis capabilities.
Dr. Amos holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University, a
Masters of Science degree in Engineering Management from the University of Alabama in
Huntsville, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in System Engineering from the University of
Alabama in Huntsville. He is a member of the International Council on System Engineering
and a Senior Member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers. He is also a member of the
Association of the United States Army. Dr. Amos serves on the Auburn University Alumni
Engineering Council and the Industrial Advisory Committee for the Industrial and System
Engineering Department at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
