Huntsville Simulation Conference (HSC) |
The first step in participating in the HSC as a presenter is the submission of a one page abstract, emailed to the HSC General Chairman at hsc@scs.org. Abstracts must be written in Word, WordPerfect or Rich Text Format and attached as a document file to the email message. Include all co-authors in the CC line of the email message. This assures that the HSC has contact information for all authors and that all authors are made aware of the abstract submission. The abstract must contain a title, followed by list of all authors and their organizations. Email addresses and phone numbers are optional in the abstract itself, but helpful if provided in the email message. The title, authors and organizations will be listed in the HSC preliminary program, final program and web site. Any subsequent changes to this information should be made by emailing a replacement abstract to the HSC General Chairman, indicating that this is a replacement abstract and giving the title of the abstract that it replaces. Please define any acronyms the first time they are used in the abstract. This includes references to organizations and departments. For example: U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Command (AMRDEC). The HSC is a multidisciplinary conference where some participants may not be familiar with the jargon in your area of expertise. Fonts and styles for the abstract are at the author’s discretion. Recommended font style is Times New Roman. Recommended font is 12 point, left justified for the body and 14 point, centered, bold for the title. Be aware that your abstract will be published on line on the HSC web site so that conference participants can decide on whether to attend your presentation. Your abstract will also appear in a booklet of abstracts distributed at the conference. In the absence of a paper, your abstract will also appear in the conference proceedings CD, distributed at the conference to all registrants and in the printed conference proceedings which is shipped to those who pay extra for this document. |
