Many educational institutions have begun to offer either courses or entire degree programs in modeling and simulation (M&S). This track is soliciting papers that explore the emerging field of M&S education and the issues surrounding its development and use. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

bullet Modeling and simulation as its own discipline
bullet Modeling and simulation body of knowledge: what should be included?
bullet Modeling and simulation curriculum: engineering, science, or multidisciplinary?
bullet Modeling and simulation research and its role in education
bullet Modeling, simulation, and gaming as a teaching tool
bullet Modeling and simulation and workforce development: what are the challenges?

Key Dates

Abstracts due 1 Oct 2007 Authors who would like to know if a particular topic would be of interest to the symposium can submit an extended (1-2 page) abstract directly to the chair by this deadline.  An abstract will not be considered a submission, just a means for providing initial feedback.
