Short Paper submission deadline extended
to Dec. 15, 2008
We are seeking outstanding short paper (4 pages) submissions that will be
presented in a poster format at the conference. Short papers should present
interesting recent results or novel ideas that are not quite ready for a regular
full-length paper. Paper submissions are encouraged in all areas of modeling and
simulation as mentioned in SpringSim'09 Call for
Papers. In particular we are seeking papers in the following areas:
- Communications Networks with Special Emphasis on Modeling and
Simulation
- Numerical Simulation and Optimization as Applied to Business and
Industry
- Use of modeling and simulation in the area of computer security
- Any Aspect of Modeling and Simulation related to the Military
- Modeling, Analysis and Simulation of Telecommunication Systems
- Web-based Modeling and Simulation
- High-performance Computing and Simulation
- Network Traffic Modeling and Workload Characterization
- Simulation Languages, Tools, and Environments
- Simulation of Parallel Systems, Distributed Systems and Databases
- Simulation of Clusters, Grids and Wireless System
- Simulation of Multimedia Applications and Systems
- Modeling and Simulation of Real-Time and Embedded Systems
- Simulation Methodology, Theory and Philosophy
Submission Instructions
Prepare a 4-page paper using the
Paper Formatting Guidelines
for the conference. All final paper submissions are to be made electronically to
SCS via the SCS Conference
Proceedings Management System. Include complete postal and e-mail addresses,
and fax and phone numbers of corresponding author. Papers must be in English.
For further instructions, please refer to the Submission Instructions in the
SCS Conference Proceedings
Management System web site. Submissions will be peer-reviewed to ensure
quality. Accepted short papers will be presented in the poster session as well
as the poster proceedings.
