The purpose of this conference is to serve as a forum for the exchange of ideas on advances in the design and performance analysis of communications networks and distributed systems. CNDS seeks papers that focus on challenges faced by researchers seeking to develop new principles and gain greater insight into design tradeoffs and performance limitations inherent in emerging systems. CNDS'04 will feature a keynote speaker, panel discussion, a Best-Paper Award and a Best-Student Paper Award. Authors of top papers will be invited to submit extended versions for possible publication in a special issue of "Simulation: Transactions of the SCS."

CNDS seeks original high quality papers that emphasize simulation methods, analysis or application. Submissions must be made via the SCS
Proceedings Central management
system. All submissions will be fully refereed for originality, technical content and relevance. Final papers are limited the 6 single-space, double-column papers. For more information see the submission instructions in the Author Center of the
Proceedings Central web site. One author is required to register and present the paper at the conference.
