Welcome to the April 2011 issue of the M&S Magazine. Many of our readers (your Editor included) will now be emerging from the challenges of a winter season and will be eagerly looking ahead to the renewal that comes with Spring. I hope some of the articles/features in this issue will contribute to that seasonal glow of renewal and enrichment. I’m happy to report that progress has been made in establishing a flow of unsolicited articles for the M&S Magazine. Hopefully this tentative first step will be the precursor for continuing unsolicited content for the pages of this publication. The requirements are certainly not overly demanding. The key is simply to provide information that is likely of interest to a reasonable segment of the M&S community. Please also keep in mind that we seek “articles”: and not “papers”; there is no peer review because the intent is to share information, views and insight rather than research results.[...]
