Individual Membership
The Regular membership annual dues are $55 (U.S.). Membership benefits provided at this level include:
- Electronic access to the monthly flagship publication, Modeling
& Simulation Magazine online
- Limited access to the SCS online publications archive
- Discounts on the full range of SCS products (e.g., books, conference registration, etc.).
Prospective SCS members are encouraged to acquire additional useful services by subscribing to either of two
enhanced membership levels:
- Professional. The Professional membership annual dues are $95 (U.S.). Membership benefits provided at this service level include:
- Electronic access to the monthly flagship publication Modeling
& Simulation Magazine online
- Printed version of Modeling & Simulation magazine delivered quarterly
- Unlimited access to the SCS online publications archive
- Discounts on the full range of SCS products (e.g., books, conference registration, etc.)
- Premier. The Premier membership annual dues are $195 (U.S.). Membership benefits provided at this service level include:
- Electronic access to the new monthly flagship publication: Modeling
& Simulation Magazine online
- Printed version of Modeling & Simulation magazine delivered quarterly
- Printed version and electronic access to the archival journal SIMULATION: Transactions of The Society for Modeling and Simulation
International, as provided by Sage Science Press
- Unlimited access to the SCS online publications archive
- Discounts on the full range of SCS products (e.g., books, conference registration, etc.)
Institutional Membership
Each Institutional Membership, available to Industrial, Governmental and Academic organizations,
includes as a minimum:
- One hard-copy subscription to Modeling & Simulation magazine
- One hard-copy subscription to Simulation: Transactions of the Society for Modeling and Simulation International
- Advertising space in Modeling & Simulation magazine
- A logo link on the SCS web site
- Multiple individual memberships, each of which includes:
- The right to vote and hold office in the Society
- A subscription to Modeling and Simulation online magazine
- Discounted registration fees at conferences
- Access to the SCS on-line searchable database of technical articles and other resources
- Other benefits as the Executive Committee or the Board of Directors may provide.
One of the individual memberships assigned to each Institutional Member is designated as the Point of Contact for coordinating Member benefits. This POC receives a hard-copy subscription to
Modeling & Simulation magazine and a hard-copy subscription to
Simulation: Transactions of the Society for Modeling and Simulation
International.
Institutional Memberships (except at the Basic level) incorporate other significant benefits, including:
- The Library Publications Package:
- subscription(s) to Modeling and Simulation magazine
- subscription(s) to Simulation: Transactions of the Society for Modeling and Simulation International
- The annual Simulation Series of four hard-bound conference proceedings;
- Additional conference proceedings as available;
- Exhibit booth space at major North American conferences;
- Hosting of events at major conferences;
- Use of the SCS mailing list
- Seats on the SCS Institutional Advisory Board, providing unique opportunities for guiding current operations of the Society and for steering the future.
SCS offers 4 levels of Institutional Membership:
Basic Institutional Membership is suitable for the smaller organization.
The membership fee is $1,000 per year and includes:
- Three individual memberships
- A logo link from the SCS web site
- A half-page advertisement in an issue of Modeling & Simulation magazine.
Bronze Institutional Membership is suitable for the simulation organization intending to exhibit at an SCS conference.
The membership fee is $2,500 per year and includes:
- Six individual Memberships
- A logo link from the SCS web site
- An exhibit booth space at an SCS conference
- An advertising page in an issue of Modeling & Simulation
magazine
- One use of the SCS mailing list
- One seat on the Institutional Advisory Board.
Silver Institutional Membership is suitable for an organization with two locations.
The membership fee is $5,000 per year and includes:
- Eleven individual Memberships
- Two sets of the Library Publications Package
- A logo link from the SCS web site
- Equivalent of two exhibit booth spaces at SCS conferences
- Two advertising pages in issues of Modeling & Simulation
magazine
- Two uses of the SCS mailing list, and One seat on the Institutional Advisory Board.
Gold Institutional Membership is suitable for larger organizations with three or more locations and a desire for high visibility at an SCS
conference. The membership fee is $10,000 per year and includes:
- Sixteen individual Memberships
- Three sets of the Library Publications Package
- Two logo links from the SCS web site
- Equivalent of two exhibit booth spaces at SCS conferences
- Hosting a reception or luncheon at an SCS conference
- An advertisement in a conference program
- Two advertising pages in issues of Modeling & Simulation
magazine
- Three uses of the SCS mailing list
- Two seats on the Institutional Advisory Board.
Platinum Institutional Membership is suitable
for the largest organizations with a significant stake in simulation, with multiple locations and multiple products, wanting the highest visibility and image in the simulation community by projecting a prominent presence within SCS publications and conferences.
The membership fee is $25,000 per year and includes:
- Twenty-one individual Memberships
- Five sets of the Library Publications Package
- Three logo links from the SCS web site
- A banner advertisement on the SCS web site
- Equivalent of four exhibit booth spaces at SCS conferences
- Hosting two receptions or luncheons at SCS conferences
- Two rooms for user group meetings or hospitality at an SCS conference
- Two advertisements in conference programs
- Four advertising pages in issues of Modeling & Simulation
magazine
- Four uses of the SCS mailing list
- Two seats on the Institutional Advisory Board.
The Society for Modeling and Simulation International (SCS) is a registered
501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, meaning some portion of your membership
fees may be tax deductible.
