M&S in China: select abstracts from the Journal of System Simulation

Journal of System Simulation is a publication of the Chinese Association for System Simulation (CASS). It is sponsored by the Chinese Association for System Simulation (CASS) and China Aerospace Corporation (CASC). It started its publication in 1989. CASS has a membership of over 5000 in China and abroad, and holds more than 20 conferences on simulation, modeling and computing every year. The journal reports up-to-date advances and achievements in the system simulation field. The topics include all the important subjects related to the M&S field.

MSC-LES and MISS-Genoa presents SOCRATES and VDS

MISS Genoa and MSC-LES developed two architectures for virtual retail stores based on the integration of simulation and three-dimensional virtual environments. The first architecture, called VDS (Virtual Dynamic Store) simulates the evolution over the time of a real store and provides the user with different functionalities (including 3D visualization). The second architecture, called SOCRATES (Shopping Online CReated by Advanced Three-dimensional Environment and Simulation) based on the X3D standard (an evolution of VRML), prevalently supports the online commerce in a 3D virtual environment.
