To this end, SCS organizes meetings, sponsors and co-sponsors national and international conferences, and publishes the SIMULATION: Transactions of The Society for Modeling and Simulation International and the Journal of Defense Modeling and Simulation magazines. SCS is continuously improving the services provided to its members. A FAQ on membership has been created and will be included in each issue of the newsletter. New Challenges to Explore Opportunities—MISS and MSNet Joint Director Meeting McLeod Modeling and Simulation Network (M&SNet) and McLeod Institute of Simulation Sciences (MISS) are two organizations of the Society for Modeling and Simulation International (SCS). MISS is also a founding member organization of the M&SNet. With their hundreds of eminent researchers from several continents and countries, they provide an ideal platform for joint advanced professional activities in M&S. The MISS and MSNet Joint Director Meeting that will be co-located with the Summer Simulation Multiconference in the Hague (Netherlands, June 27-30, 2011). The directors or the representatives of MISS and MSNet centers will give presentations of their activities. Based on the presentations and the annual reports the activities will be discussed. It is an important aim of the meeting to try to initiate joint R&D projects with the participation of more MISS centers which may be submitted to the EU or as Transatlantic projects. |
