Problems cannot be solved by the same level of thinking that created them.

Albert Einstein, German theoretical physicist (1879 - 1955)

Education is the best provision for the journey to old age.

Aristotle, Greek philosopher (384 BC – 322 BC)

It is not necessary to change. Survival is not mandatory.

              William Edwards Deming (1900 —1993)

We do believe imagination, conjecture, and shrewd guesses are not only fun, but they are necessary for the preservation of our way of life. Dream, my friends, but make it good!

John and Suzette McLeod (almost 60 years ago, in this Newsletter, a message in a bottle for the present times)

SCS Historical Newsletter: February 1955 [...]

Erratum: In the January’s issue, the SCS M&S Newsletter web page shows a quote from Frank Herbert and lists his birth and death as 1809-1882.  That is incorrect.  Frank Herbert was born in 1920 and died in 1986. (Thank you William).
